Molded to Fit – 6 day of April

I see you standing there in your less than regal hat
molded to fit you perfectly from the years of use and abuse
Your shy toffee eyes shielded to protect you
but I wouldn’t be the one to hurt you

I see you standing there in your navy blue polo shirt
molded to fit someone bigger
You hide behind these ill fitted garments in hopes people will not see you
but I can’t unsee your noble virile handsomeness

I see you standing there in your boring black trousers
molded into a relaxed fit
You aren’t relaxed or comfortable in your 1st or 2nd skin
but I accept you just the way you were created and the way you helped to form yourself

I see you standing there in your tightly tied boat shoes
molded to fit the spring in your step and calmly carry you forth
You ask permission of each foot to move where you sort of wish to go
but I wouldn’t want to cause you discomfort

For all I would want is to mold myself to you
bring you the protection that you need,
bring you the confirmation that I see and accept the real you,
bring you the comfort that you are a blessing inside and out,
bring you the support that will steadily fill your mind, body, heart and soul
with a strong foundation of love, a pillar of encouragement, a hand to hold and guide, and a cornerstone to see you build yourself high above all that retains you from soaring

I was molded to fit you, molded to fit you, molded to fit you
