THE INVISIBLE WOMAN – Free Verse Day 10 of April

The Invisible Woman that you see.
Is not so invisible
You love to be with her
You enjoy her company
You feel her sexual energy igniting yours
But then you remember
Her plus-size frame and you let her go

You come by again
You want to feel her closer
You can smell her being
You love to flirt with her
You think she makes you complete
But then you remember
Her plus-size frame and you let her go

You want her for yourself
But you don’t have the courage
You are sure she will give you all that you ask
But you are afraid to ask
You deter her from meeting others
You hug her close to you and say you’ll always be her friend
But then you remember
Her plus-size frame and you let her go

What kind of friend are you to hurt one so dear.
What kind of person are you that you ignore such pure feelings
What kind of lover could you possibly be
What kind of love do you offer that it is only revealed when no one is around
What some one is looking at you
But then you remember
Her plus-size frame and you let her go

So let her go, be unselfish
So let her go, she will be loved by the light of the sun and the moon
So let her go, she will be caressed by the four winds
So let her go, she will be lifted by the passion that consumes her being
So let her go, she will be invisible no longer
So let her go, she will be truly loved
So let her go, let her go, let her go…..

Good one. . Reminds of a little of that passenger song “Only know you love her when you let her go. And you let her go.”

There are so many invisible people. I think she will be truly loved. Thank you for joining in!

  3. msjadeli says:

Hopefully he let her go? I feel deep pain in your poem.

  4. V.J. Knutson says:

It’s painful to be judge worthy only due to our size. My former husband did this to me – left me for a model, and when she left him, came crying back to me with: “But you are my best and longest friend.”

  5. Gina says:

makes me think of shallow souls

Oh, the tears that have been shed, and the passions not dared.
